The Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival (HKAMF), organised by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Hong Kong Group) Limited [“IFPI (Hong Kong Group)”], is in its eighth consecutive edition. The organiser has been persistently supporting the local music industry and promoting recorded music by forging a cross-market platform for Asian music creators and investors. World class performers and celebrity adjudicators from the region too contributed to a star dusted mega event, one that is unique in that it was co-organised by industry associations from Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.
The eight contestants, each representing the region where they come from competed for the three coveted titles of HKAMF 2018 Asian Supernova Award, the Best Vocal Performance Award and the Best Stage Performance Award. The organiser this year continues to offer the viewers the choice to selecting their favourite contestant. Live audiences and music fans before live broadcast everywhere voted in real-time their choice for recipient of the ‘HKAMF 2018 Top Viewers’ Choice Award’. The show’s outreach to audiences helped by media partners would reach no less than 13 countries and regions in Asia, including North American and Asian Pacific Regions.
