Held at Marina Promenade, this years’ SKECHERS SUNDOWN FESTIVAL 2014 introduced Singapore to many different variety of music. From upbeat Bollywood tunes to K-POP music, starlets all over Asia, from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, India, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong kept their fans busy for a full six hours of non-stop music!

When doors opened at 4:30pm, concert-goers eagerly took their spots in front of the stage, waiting for the music festival to start. Accompanying them during the wait was a couple of fringe acts by local bands from Singapore. The festival was made complete with the Asian Food Village at the SKECHERS SUNDOWN FESTIVAL 2014 as the crowd was not only able to enjoy music from across Asia, but also filling their stomachs with scrumptious food.

Skechers styles Sundown Festival artistes and gives fans exclusive chance for meet and greet session

SINGAPORE, SEPTEMBER 16, 2014 – Sundown Festival is back in its sixth year with a fresh line-up featuring upcoming and locally established artistes from all over Asia with the addition of artistes representing three more countries this year – Singapore, Malaysia and India.

An iconic music festival which brings Asian artistes and fans onto one singular platform to celebrate and bridge the diverse Asian cultures through music and food, Sundown Festival is an outdoor music event, held at the F1 Pit Building each year. Since its first showcase in 2009, the festival has now grown to more than two and a half times in audience size.

Representing Taiwan, Chang Chen Yue, also known as A-Yue, will be performing at the festival, together with Kanika Kapoor, an Indian Punjabi singer known for her song, “Baby Doll”. Girl group S.O.S. from Indonesia whose song, “Drop It Low”, reached #3 on music charts on [V] Channel will be joining the line-up as well as Hong Kong TVB actress and singer Kate Tsui.  “We intend for Sundown Festival to be a signature showcase of Asian music talents which will amplify the careers of these artistes. Having the festival here, is part of our secret wish to transform Singapore to be the Asian music capital,” shares Samantha Chan, founder of Sundown Festival and Red Spade Entertainment which organises the festival every year. “The addition of Singapore artistes is the fruition of a budding dream and now we’re excited to map the next milestone.”

Recognising the growth in popularity of Asian music, global leader in lifestyle footwear, Skechers Singapore Pte Ltd, will be lending their support to this year’s festival as a presenting sponsor. Starting in the evening at 4pm on 22 November, fans will also get to relish popular street food from the different Asian countries at the food stalls set-up on the festival grounds as part of embracing Asian cultures.
