K-Wave & Winter Travel Carnival organized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization was held on 4th & 5th November in Hong Kong Hollywood Plaza.
Korean boyband B1A4 attended the opening ceremony on the first day while their label mates ONF, made their first appearance in Hong Kong on the second day of the carnival.
The Carnival was set to introduce tourist spots in South Korea and B1A4 suggested some romantic places and activities suitable for couples, such as visiting Namsan Tower; fishing in frozen lake in Gyeonggi-do. Each member also introduced their hometown and named famous travel spots. Sandeul was born in Busan and he said Haeundae Beach is a place that was suitable for visiting during both Summer and Winter. Gongchan's hometown, Suncheon, is known for beautiful flowers and the Garden Expo. Baro lived in Gwangju and Jeolla Province food was famous, especially the traditional Korean Set - Hanjeongsik.
During the game session, B1A4 members read out some Cantonese sentences and the fans were asked to make guesses on what they were trying to say. They all did well while Gongchan deliberately read his lines out in a funny tone, making the fans laugh. The lucky fan who won the game obtained a chance to take a polaroid photo with B1A4!
Into Day 2 of the carnival, rising boy group ONF came to Hollywood Plaza and spent a great time with their fans. ONF members also introduced some famous attractions in Korea. J-US recommended Herb Island Lighting & Illumination Festival, and Hyojin suggested visiting the fine dining restaurant and cafe in Jong-ro, which are renovated from traditional Korean house - Hanok. The event came to the end after ONF performed their songs "Difficult", " Cat's Waltz" and "Original".
