KCON 2017 Japan was held from 19 – 21 May 2017 at the Makuhari Messe. Eager to see the star-studded line-up, K-Pop fans waited with much joy and excitement for their favorite idols to perform and interact with them  during the convention.

This three-day extravaganza had a wide array of activities to promote the Hallyu culture in Japan. Ranging from a day-time convention that promoted anything K-related; K-POP Music, K-DRAMA, K-BEAUTY, Korean FOOD, right down to one of Korea's Famous Music Show MCOUNTDOWN, where many artistes brought about spectacular performances.

During the course of three days of the convention, several K-Pop groups came on stage to make an appearance and answered some questions from the media.

Two members of CLC, a girl group under Cube Entertainment, came on stage with their mini cooking show and they made Rice Pizza on the spot. Similarly, under Cube Entertainment, boy group SF9 revealed that they will be having their debut in Japan on 7th June with their single “Fanfare”. Each member showed their special talent and did a successful “Random Play Dance”!

8-member female group, LOVELYZ, mentioned that they would like to debut in Japan someday and they have been preparing as much as they can. Fans were excited to hear and can't wait for them to do so!

Red carpet sessions were held for all three days of KCON 2017 Japan.

South Korean boyband BIGFLO made their first appearance in Hong Kong the past weekend as judges for the 2017 K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL. Radio DJ Barry Ip was also one of the judges and the event is into it's 5th year. The official venue, Plaza Hollywood mall in Hong Kong, was flooded with supporters and fans on that day while the quintet from HO Company kicked off their performance.

The winning group of this year's content, Friends Junction Boys, will be representing Hong Kong for the finals of the K-POP Cover Dance Festival  that will be held in South Korea next month. The group emerged as the representative team with their dance renditions of GOT7's Never Ever, Hard Carry, and BTS's Not Today and Blood Sweat Tears. Friends Junction Boys will be sponsored with flight tickets and accommodation to go to Korea for the finals. Judge Barry Ip who had been doing the contest evaluations consecutively for a few years highlighted that the contestants this year are of high standards and acknowledges their efforts and talent. Being a HIP HOP dancer in his earlier years, Barry encouraged the younger generation to take up dancing as a sport  and he hopes to see more K-POP dance lovers to come forward next year to compete for the exclusive spot to represent Hong Kong. 

It was BIGFLO's first time in Hong Kong and they brought to the stage 2 songs from their HIPHOP album STARDOM. Their good looks, high energy dance and addictive HIPHOP tunes of Stardom and Deliah drove the crowd wild!

BIGFLO mentioned that they felt thankful to the fans who came to the airport when they arrived in Hong Kong and they would like to try the famous Dim Sum in Hong Kong. Member Sung Min said that he would like to see the beautiful Hong Kong night view if he had the chance to. When being asked if they knew of any Hong Kong artist, Ron spoke of Super Girls as he heard that they were a famous group in the country. Super Girls (also known as Icon Girls), is a Hong Kong Cantopop Girl Group formed by Stars Shine International record label.

​Since their debut in 2014, BIGFLO has undergone many challenges but their passion for performing on stage did not dissipate. Their re-group at the start of this year, BIGFLO moves on strongly with 5 members, having participated in many promotional events as well as planned future attendance at 2017 Dream Concert alongside popular groups such as EXO, VIXX and NCT127. BIGFLO will also going on a concert tour in America soon.

September 25, 2016 - The Main Stadium of Incheon  Munhak Stadium was flooded with Hallyu Stars for the annual Incheon K-Pop Concert (INK). This year's music festival is joined with an amazing lineup that includes megastar groups like SHINee and INFINITE.

INK was first launched in 2009 and is hosted in Incheon city and proudly organized by the Incheon Tourism Organization. Here, citizens from all over the world are gathered together to catch the performance of South Korea’s top Hallyu idols and singers.

​December 6, 2015 – GOT7 was back for the second time in Singapore to meet their adoring fans! This years’ second fanmeet was held in conjunction with SGKstar 2015 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Excitement filled the air and fans were anxious to meet their favorite idols. Even as the boys went through their rehearsal, the girls were screaming at the top of their lungs.
 
GOT7 started the night with “Stop Stop It” and “Girls Girls Girls”. The dark hall is filled with lighted headbands, fan boards and LED fan boards made by fans in hopes that their favorite member would give them a little more fan service.
 ​

The boys were looking very suave in black shirts, leather jackets and ripped jeans as they introduced themselves to their fans in English. The first game of the night was Charades. Lucky fans and GOT7 were supposed to act out the given word and the last member of the line has to guess the word. The winners of that game receives a “family” photo with GOT7 and an autographed posters
 

The next few songs performed, “Just Right” and GOT7’s latest track, “If You Do” were both adorably cute and handsome.

​It turns out that the next game, musical chairs, was Jackson’s favorite game! The winner of the musical chairs took a group picture and individual photographs with GOT7. All fans below the stage were jealous at how lucky she was.
 
Next up, GOT7 performed their latest festive track “Confession Song” and “Playground”. The ballads had fans melting in their seats.  You could see how much love the fans had for the boys as they shoot invisible hearts with their eyes.
 
The fanmeet took a little break with a cute dance battle between Yugyeom and Youngjae. The audience was roaring with laughter as they saw the battle going down.
 
GOT7 brought the fanmeet to an end with “Magnetic” and “Bounce”. When they left the stage abruptly, the fans starting the encore cheering routine with GOT7’s instigation.
 
GOT7’s performance was nothing less than spectacular when they ended with a remixed version of  “A”. Not only did they end off the fanmeet with a bang, it was also an awesome closure for the entire SGKstar 2015 event!

Talking about the craziest fan experience, Jackson mentioned that the most passionate fans scream louder than the microphones. That’s when he feels the most passion when performing on stage.

21st March 2015 - The 7 talented boys of JYP Entertainment dance group GOT7 consisting of JB, Mark, Jr., Jackson, Youngjae, Bambam and Yugyeom have finally return to Malaysia for a full-fledged fan meeting, after shooting their music video for title track ‘A’ in Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam last year!

Whether it is their charming smiles or their bright personalities or their singing/dancing abilities, the boys of GOT7 have captured the hearts of every Malaysian iGOT7s!  

GOT7 opened the fan meeting with  Stop Stop It, followed by Gimme. Fans went into a screaming frenzy as they watched their favorite idols come up on stage dressed smartly in a checkers coat over a plain white tshirt. 

After performing the two opening songs, the boys greeted their fans with a warm smile. Jackson greeted the fans in Cantonese and Mandarin while Bam Bam made the crowd go crazy by saying "Saya comel? Kamu lagi comel."

The event continued on with a short video clip of a traditional Malay dance called Zapin which the members tried dancing to. After that, the winners for the Umobile dance cover competition got on stage to take a selfie with the boys. 

Before the next game, GOT7 went on stage to perform 'Moonlight' and 'Forever Young' with the fans chanting and singing along to the songs passionately. 

The evening carried on with Guess What's In The Box game. With Bam Bam and Yugyeom starting the game off well with their accurate guesses, Mark touched a stuff toy and was asked to guess what toy it was. It turned out to be an Orang Utan who he said was JYP. Jr put his hand into the box and it was Muruku which he couldn't stop eating while JB had ketupat in his mystery box. YoungJae's turn and it turned out to be a tanjak which he looked adorable in when he put it on. Lastly, Jackson guessed that a grenade was in his box and it felt like Bam Bam's hair. When the box opened, it revealed a mangosteen.

After that, the members were told to turn around and face the screen. The organizers started showing a fan project which was a dance cover at the "A" MV filming site. At the end of the dance, there was a surprise birthday video and cake was brought onto the stage for the birthday boy. The fans started singing and Jackson made a wish before blowing out the candles. Jackson thanked everyone for this and started feeding everyone cake, translator and host included too. 

The evening continued with GOT7 dancing to 'A' and 'Girls Girls Girls' and soon after the songs ended, they disappeared backstage. With the fans screaming for an encore performance, the boys came back out and ended the fan meeting with 'Bounce'. 

Before officially ending the fan meet, the members took the time to thank the fans for supporting them.
