K-Wave & Winter Travel Carnival organized by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization was held on 4th & 5th November in Hong Kong Hollywood Plaza.
Korean boyband B1A4 attended the opening ceremony on the first day while their label mates ONF, made their first appearance in Hong Kong on the second day of the carnival.

The Carnival was set to introduce tourist spots in South Korea and B1A4 suggested some romantic places and activities suitable for couples, such as visiting Namsan Tower; fishing in frozen lake in Gyeonggi-do. Each member also introduced their hometown and named famous travel spots. Sandeul was born in Busan and he said Haeundae Beach is a place that was suitable for visiting during both Summer and Winter. Gongchan's hometown, Suncheon, is known for beautiful flowers and the Garden Expo. Baro lived in Gwangju and Jeolla Province food was famous, especially the traditional Korean Set - Hanjeongsik. 

During the game session, B1A4 members read out some Cantonese sentences and the fans were asked to make guesses on what they were trying to say. They all did well while Gongchan deliberately read his lines out in a funny tone, making the fans laugh. The lucky fan who won the game obtained a chance to take a polaroid photo with B1A4!

Into Day 2 of the carnival, rising boy group ONF came to Hollywood Plaza and spent a great time with their fans. ONF members also introduced some famous attractions in Korea. J-US recommended Herb Island Lighting & Illumination Festival, and Hyojin suggested visiting the fine dining restaurant and cafe in Jong-ro, which are renovated from traditional Korean house - Hanok. The event came to the end after ONF performed their songs "Difficult", " Cat's Waltz" and "Original".

South Korean Boyband B1A4 held their B1A4 Live Space 2017 in Hong Kong on 21st May at the KITEC Star Hall, bringing the fans a magnificent show with their catchy songs and dance!

Since their debut in 2011, B1A4 has brought K-POP fans an array of songs such as A Lie, Sweet Girl, Solo day, and Lonely, the group has stood strong as one of the representative idol groups. Made up of 5 multi-talented members, B1A4 consists of leader Jin-young, CNU, Sandeul, Baro and Gongchan, and they have respectively branched out into participating in musicals, dramas and also variety shows.

The concert began with Melancholy and In the Air. Complemented with special effects to highlight the concept of travelling in a spacecraft to B1A4’s very own planet, fans entered the “live space” with much anticipation and energy! B1A4 then greeted the fans and said that they were happy to be in Hong Kong again. More songs such as Oh My God, Nightmare, You, Crushing on You Again, and Yesterday were performed on stage, drawing incessant cheers from BANAs! 

During the concert, B1A4 rendered one of Supper Moment’s iconic tunes specially for the Hong Kong fans. “Cantonese is difficult to learn but it has been 2 years since we had a concert in Hong Kong, and we decided to pick up Cantonese to bring a special performance for our fans in Hong Kong,” said B1A4 after completing the song. 

Thereafter, fans were brought on a reminiscing session as the representative songs of B1A4 for the past 6 years were displayed on screen.  The 5 members progressed with a special stage where they brought about a medley of songs including O.K, Beautiful Target, Baby I’m Sorry, Baby Good Night, Tried to Walk, What’s Happening and A Glass of Water.

The concert was due to end with How Many Times and I’ll Find You but B1A4 re-appeared on stage after vigorous chanting for an encore stage by their fans. With You, Drunk on You, Sparkling and Good Timing were the last 4 songs performed before conclusion of Live Space 2017 in Hong Kong and the group showed immense love for their Hong Kong fans by “throwing hearts” and unceasing fan interactions and handshakes with the crowd.

A hi-touch session commenced right after the concert and all the fans were given a chance to meet B1A4 upclose. B1A4’s capabilities were shown through their latest 3rd album Good Timing where the members partook in the composition of the song arrangement and lyrics. B1A4 Live Space 2017 kicked start in Seoul early this year and has moved on to Taiwan and several cities in the USA before coming to Hong Kong.

B1A4 was in Hong Kong the past weekend to attend the annual Hong Kong Asian Music Festival 2017 (HKAMF 2017). The day before the official HKAMF, B1A4 attended the press conference alongside other performing artistes from countries such as China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

During the interview,  B1A4 expressed that they were indeed honoured to be part of this annual event that was running for the 7th year. Every year, various groups of artistes have been invited to come together to represent their country to bring splendid performances to the Hong Kong audience. This year, B1A4 represents South Korea to be part of the performing team to bring K-POP and their music to reach out to more all over the world.

Jinyoung, CNU, Sandeul, Baro and Gongchan debuted in 2011 and have gone on concert tours in many countries in the USA, Europe and South East Asia. At the press conference when interviewed by the media, Baro answered all the questions in English, which really left us a great impression. They are definitely a group that works really hard and has so much talent! And of course, when it comes to Hong Kong, the well-known Tim Sum was the top food choice for B1A4. 

During HKAMF, B1A4 was the final performing artiste group and the cheers were deafening when the 5 bubbly boys took the stage. They brought about their hit songs "What's Happening" and "A Lie". When asked about their favourite singers from Hong Kong, leader Jinyoung expressed that he looked up to Mandopop singer-songwriter and producer Khalil Fong, who did really great R&B and Soul songs. Member CNU mentioned that his favourite Hong Kong singer was none other than Eason Chan, the next "God of Song" after Samuel Hui and Jacky Cheung as how the Hong Kong media termed it. HKAMF ended with a blast where all the artistes gathered on stage to bid goodbye to their fans that came for the festival.

B1A4 will be holding their "B1A4 LIVE SPACE 2017 IN HONG KONG" concert on May 21, 2017 and they mentioned that they will be performing songs that the fans can dance along to. Don't miss their concert if you are fans of B1A4!
