All-time favourite Star Wars movie will be back again this year with the 8th movie of its kind! Due to go o screens on 14th December, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be having a promotional event in Hong Kong alongside APM Mall the coming weekend!

The 6000 feet wide exhibition will feature various star-wars themed locations and also various lego figures of the Elite Praetorian Guard; as well as the new look of the Stormtrooper Executioner. Definitely, the well-know figures of Star Wars will also be on display at the exhibition. Exclusive goods direct from the USA will be sold in the 2 pop-up stores; the Star Wars store and LEGO Star Wars store for a limited period of time.

To mark this special occasion,  leader N from popular Korean boyband VIXX, will be the guest of this opening ceremony. N will be bringing 2 songs at the event as well as have a charity fan-sign session for his fans. The opening ceremony will be on 13th November 3pm, at APM Mall. For every spend at APM Mall and HKD300 donation to charity, one would be entitled to receive N's autographed poster.

On September 9 in 2017, Incheon K-Pop Concert, as known as INK Concert, was held in Incheon City. This event started from 2009, and the purpose of this event was put in place to promote Incheon as the city of hallyu. This year’s INK Concert was the 9th of the INK concert series and many popular K-Pop artists were part of this event. This year’s INK concert was supervised by SBS and the concert was broadcasted live on channels SBS Plus, SBS Plus UHD, SBS funE and SBS MTV. An estimated of 40 thousand people from Korea and 10 thousand people from all over the world attended INK 2017.
 
This year, INK Concert had various concept stages. The concert started with boy group WANNA ONE, who was the final debut group from programme Produce 101 Seasons 2.  After Wanna One’s opening stage, special stages were performed by Golden Child, Wiki-Miki, and A-Jax. There were also special stages for solo artists such as Sunmi, Minzy, and Lee Ki Kwang. The rest of the concert line-up consisted of more K-Pop artists; T-ara, Highlight, B.A.P. VIXX LR, Red Velvet, Laboum, Lovelyz, DIA, The East Light, VICTON, Momoland, Myteen, Samuel, On&Off. Girl group Girlfriend was also in the lineup but they could not attend INK 2017 due to a car accident that occurred on that very day.
 
INK Concert is held annually by Incheon City and foreigners get free admission, so do not miss out next year’s INK Concert in Incheon, Korea!

The very first SORIBADA BEST K-MUSIC AWARDS (2017 SOBA) will be held on 20th September, 6:30PM at the Jamsil Education Student Gynasium!

2017 SOBA will feature at least 20 groups of artistes which include well-known names like WANNA ONE, TWICE, BTOB, Monsta X, BAP, NCT127 and more. This is the first-time ever for this music awards ceremony and 2017 SOBA will be broadcasted over several platforms including SNS as well as live streaming to reach out to the international audience. 

Since 2000, SORIBADA has provided quality k-pop music within Korea and it has successfully branched out to be a choice peer-to-peer file sharing service site! 2017 SORIBADA will be providing content on 20th September in 7 languages including English, Mandarin and Japanese.

South Korean boyband BIGFLO made their first appearance in Hong Kong the past weekend as judges for the 2017 K-POP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL. Radio DJ Barry Ip was also one of the judges and the event is into it's 5th year. The official venue, Plaza Hollywood mall in Hong Kong, was flooded with supporters and fans on that day while the quintet from HO Company kicked off their performance.

The winning group of this year's content, Friends Junction Boys, will be representing Hong Kong for the finals of the K-POP Cover Dance Festival  that will be held in South Korea next month. The group emerged as the representative team with their dance renditions of GOT7's Never Ever, Hard Carry, and BTS's Not Today and Blood Sweat Tears. Friends Junction Boys will be sponsored with flight tickets and accommodation to go to Korea for the finals. Judge Barry Ip who had been doing the contest evaluations consecutively for a few years highlighted that the contestants this year are of high standards and acknowledges their efforts and talent. Being a HIP HOP dancer in his earlier years, Barry encouraged the younger generation to take up dancing as a sport  and he hopes to see more K-POP dance lovers to come forward next year to compete for the exclusive spot to represent Hong Kong. 

It was BIGFLO's first time in Hong Kong and they brought to the stage 2 songs from their HIPHOP album STARDOM. Their good looks, high energy dance and addictive HIPHOP tunes of Stardom and Deliah drove the crowd wild!

BIGFLO mentioned that they felt thankful to the fans who came to the airport when they arrived in Hong Kong and they would like to try the famous Dim Sum in Hong Kong. Member Sung Min said that he would like to see the beautiful Hong Kong night view if he had the chance to. When being asked if they knew of any Hong Kong artist, Ron spoke of Super Girls as he heard that they were a famous group in the country. Super Girls (also known as Icon Girls), is a Hong Kong Cantopop Girl Group formed by Stars Shine International record label.

​Since their debut in 2014, BIGFLO has undergone many challenges but their passion for performing on stage did not dissipate. Their re-group at the start of this year, BIGFLO moves on strongly with 5 members, having participated in many promotional events as well as planned future attendance at 2017 Dream Concert alongside popular groups such as EXO, VIXX and NCT127. BIGFLO will also going on a concert tour in America soon.

VIXX had successful ended their first showcase in Orlando which held on 6th of August 2015 at 
The House of Blue! This was their first time to meet with ST☆RLIGHTS in Orlando. There 
were total of 11 songs were sang by VIXX and the show was started by performing their hit
dance song from the 90s, “Love Equation”. VIXX started off the concert with an upbeat number 
in matching peach-colored stovepipe style trousers and white button-down black & white 
paneled dress-shirts. Their look was rather looked like the style of the mid-60s. They danced 
vigorously and it seemed that any and every move they made drove the fans crazy and merited 
more screams.


The show furthered carrying out with a special activity, which name the “Ask VIXX” with their 
fans by answering the questions from the board. For those ST☆RLIGHTS who had questions for 
VIXX, they would place their questions on the board at the venue on the day itself. This section 
went on for about 30 minutes, followed by another game or two aimed at getting to know the 
members even better.

These showed the appreciation from VIXX towards their fans for giving out the fully support to 
them. VIXX continue their show by performing many of the other songs including, “Rock Your 
Body”, “Error”, “Eternity” and more. It was a night that full of the screams from the 
ST☆RLIGHTS from the beginning until the end.

May 29, 2015 – Filled with an ocean of blue glowing light sticks, Max Pavilion was lit up like the stars in the night sky. Starlights, the name of VIXX’s fans, seemed very befitting for the night . The fans were all hyped and eager for the concert to begin.

VIXX began performing on stage with “On and on”. And needless to say, the fans were ecstatic to see their favorite idols on stage. Their cheers fueled the Korean Idols to unleash their sexy charisma on stage.

The concert carried on with their hit songs “Voodoo Doll”, “Light up the Darkness” and “Secret Night”. 

Introductions were up next. VIXX had the fans screaming at the top of their lungs as they spoke in English. They also hope that their fans would enjoy the night as they bring to them more fun and music.

The concert resumed the highlights of the night, solo stages from Ken covering Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”, Ravi’s charismatic rap, “Ghost” and Hyuk’s romantic song “Call You Mine”.
