Ji Chang Wook was in Hong Kong to meet his fans the last weekend at his "2017 JCW Fanmeeting in HONG KONG #DIARY" and showed how deeply he cared for his fans.
The fan meeting commenced when Ji Chang Wook came out from the front door of venue and distributed flowers to the fans while singing and walking towards the stage.
As the fan meeting progressed, the actor shared with us his experiences during filming and also about his works in previous years. He mentioned that during the filming of the drama "Healer" in 2014, the filming season was in winter and he had a really hard time due to the cold weather. In 2016, he did musical "The Days" and he expressed his love for musical. In 2017, his film "Fabricated City" was released, and it soon reached 2 million viewers, which he felt really thankful for. The emcee of the fan meet mentioned that this film is now in Hong Kong theaters and Ji Chang Wook playfully asked the fans if they have went to watch the film, and he was responded with a resounding “Yes!” from the audience.
Ji Chang Wook also shared that his favourite hobby is to read comics, and he hung out a lot at comic bars when he was younger. However, he buys comic books now to read them at home whenever he has free time and he showed us how he usually does it on his bed, drawing shrieks and screams from the excited fans who were mesmerized by how cute he looked.
Fan interaction was immensely sweet when the actor handmade rice balls on the spot and invited three lucky fans to taste them! Ji Chang Wook said that he likes having food more than making food, and he seldom cooks. The lively 29-year-old played a little joke and added wasabi into one of the rice balls and one of the lucky fans “luckily” picked the wasabi rice ball during the game session. The fan couldn’t speak for a while due to the intense taste of the wasabi and Ji Chang Wook felt sorry towards her and he gave her a signed apron to express his apology. The actor himself also tried the wasabi rice ball and tears started to well up in his eyes, drawing Ooh’s, Aah’s, and Aww’s from his fans.
Ji Chang Wook sang a total of 6 songs in the fan meeting including, Empress Ki OST "To the Butterfly", his Chinese song "Be With You" and the song from Kim Kwang Seok "Long Has Gone". At the end of fan meeting, he said he will be preparing to film his next drama, and he will be entering the army soon after. He thanked all the fans for their love and support and he hoped that they will have a chance to meet again.
