The very first SORIBADA BEST K-MUSIC AWARDS (2017 SOBA) will be held on 20th September, 6:30PM at the Jamsil Education Student Gynasium!

2017 SOBA will feature at least 20 groups of artistes which include well-known names like WANNA ONE, TWICE, BTOB, Monsta X, BAP, NCT127 and more. This is the first-time ever for this music awards ceremony and 2017 SOBA will be broadcasted over several platforms including SNS as well as live streaming to reach out to the international audience. 

Since 2000, SORIBADA has provided quality k-pop music within Korea and it has successfully branched out to be a choice peer-to-peer file sharing service site! 2017 SORIBADA will be providing content on 20th September in 7 languages including English, Mandarin and Japanese.

​Singer Hwang Chi Yeul was in Singapore for A Date with his fans last weekend. The husky-voiced singer wowed his adoring fans with amazing vocals and up-beat dance routines.
Having fame only come to him late in his career, the humble star could not stop letting his fans know how grateful he was for their continuous support and promised to work hard for his fans in his music and variety shows.
 
Halfway through the fan meet, the star handpicked fans to go on stage for an up-close and personal interaction time with him. Hwang Chi Yeul was blindfolded and he had to guess the food fed to him by his fans. He did not shudder from the smell of durian, but instead, thought that the fruit was pretty delicious.
 
The night didn’t end there. Hwang Chi Yeul did a cover of the song “Honey” which he has performed in his fan meets in different countries. Three fans were invited on stage to compete dancing that same song. Hwang Chi Yeul was impressed with the efforts put in by the fans for their performance.
 
It was impressive that the singer was able to sing fluently in Chinese as well as he sings in Korean. Do watch out for Hwang Chi Yeul’s album release this June!

uKorean singer and musician Hwang Chi Yeol started from humble beginnings. Although he debuted in 2007, he spent his twenties working part-time jobs and taught in music schools as a vocal coach, training K-Pop Idol groups such us Infinite, Lovelyz, Hello Venus, After School and NU’EST. Even going through a rough patch, Hwang Chi Yeul never gave up on his dreams about being a singer.

It was not only till March 2015, after appearing on Mnet’s TVProgram I Can See Your Voice, he was catapulted into stardom. He has since starred on various variety shows like Running Man and Let's Go! Dream Team. He also appeared in Immortal Songs 2, I Can See Your Voice and participated in  I Am a Singer 4 (China), where he clinched 3rd place overall. Hwang Chi Yeul finally fulfilled his dream of singing in front of many and the fans of Hwang Chi Yeul have a chance to catch him live in Singapore for his very own mini concert!
