Jeon Hae-rim, better known as Ha Ji Won, was in Singapore the last weekend to meet her fans at her 1st Asia fan meeting. The pretty 37-year-old actress came on stage with her first song titled “That Woman” from drama <Secret Garden>.
Following that, she greeted fans in English and mentioned that she was currently studying the language, and throughout the fan meet, she tried her best to speak English.
Some of the scenes from Secret Garden were being played on the screen and the perky lady revealed some of her secrets which included her being unable to eat pork and a fear of heights. However, due to filming requirements, she had to overcome her fear so she could do her best.
The fan meet then proceeded on to game time with fans. The first activity required fans to drink cappuccino and have foam left on the top of their lips (which was a scene from drama “Secret Garden” ). The fan with the prettiest and fullest stain would win an opportunity to take a polaroid picture with Ha Ji Won. However, angel Ha Ji Won took a polaroid picture with all the contestants in the end.
The second challenge was a bow shooting game from the scene of drama “Empress Ki”. For this second game, fans stood a chance to shake hands or hug Ha Ji Won, or even have an up-close intense eye contact session of 15 seconds with Ha Ji Won. All that was required from fans was for them to shoot and hit the target where different colours represented different prizes.
As an example, Ha Ji Won took the lead to demonstrate a shot which ended up at her manager’s head! She later taught each participating fan one by one which really showed the caring side of the famous actress!

Ha Ji Won is said to be a “vampire” as she did not change much but became cooler. She is also described by the staff as their energy source with her countless smiles, especially at the filming sites. The successful actress has a unique way of memorising her lines; She records all her lines and has them in her mobile phone, and listens to them repeatedly during her breaks. So it is really undeniable that all who are successful go through lots of hard work to be where they are now right?
Also known for being a perfectionist, Ha Ji Won tells the audience that the 2 best dishes that she can whip up are spicy rice cake and kimchi fried rice. A video of her making kimchi at her Aunt’s house was played on screen. Talking about food, Laksa and coconut are the favourite local foods of the actress!
The fan meet continued with the song “The Show” and encore song “Now in this place”. The fans sing-along for the last song brought tears to her eyes due to their avid participation and she was deeply touched.
In order to remember the special moment, Ha Ji Won brought out her action camera and video-ed her fans, and she even went down the stage to film her fans who were sitting at the back of the venue.
