ambassador and Korean actress, Park Shin Hye, at the “Mamonde Garden in the City” atrium
event held at TANGS Vivocity, on 21st July, 2017.
A huge crowd turned up to catch a glimpse of the actress best known for her leading roles in
Korean dramas ‘Doctors’, ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘The Heirs’, as she shared her secret to flawless skin,
makeup tips to enhance natural beauty and snippets of her life beyond the screen.
Mamonde, which is French for “My World”, represents females who are confident, feminine
yet passionate in pursuing their goals. Their expertise in the study of flowers dates back to the
1990s, with breakthrough innovations in their floral skincare lines that have been lauded by
beauty aficionados worldwide. The floral brand appointed Ms. Park as its brand ambassador
in 2014. As soon as news of her visit to Singapore broke, local and foreign fans from Malaysia
and Hong Kong, flew in specially to see her. They swarmed the Central Court A event space at
VivoCity and waited from as early as 10am for her.

She then expressed that she was glad to be back in Singapore, and loved that she was
surrounded by so much greenery and blue skies. She was especially delighted to see her fans,
and gushed that they had already showered her with gifts, including a packet of chilli crab
sauce which is her favourite dish.
Speaking through a translator, Ms. Park went on to talk about her skincare must-haves, which
include the best-seller and cult classics Mamonde Rose Water Toner, Pure White Ultra Active
Essence and Calendula Essence Sun Milk. She also listed her favourite makeup products like
the Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion, Highlight Lip Tint and Creamy Tint Balm.
“My best beauty advice would be to hydrate and moisturise,” said Ms. Park, who also stressed
the importance of cleansing. “Cleansing and softening (toning) helps rid pores of grime and
dirt, preparing it for better absorption of other skincare. Having a good remover like the
Mamonde Lotus Micro Eye & Lip Remover, which is gentle yet thorough, also helps in
making sure you do not tug and pull at delicate areas around the eye.”
When asked how she maintains her skin’s radiance amidst long hours of travelling and filming,
Ms. Park revealed that a-mask-a-day was the rule she abided by, and also credits the Pure
White Ultra Active range for its firming and whitening benefits. She would massage a dime-
sized amount of Pure White Ultra Active Essence onto her face, as that aided the skin’s
absorption of the product and improves blood circulation. She also carries the Mamonde
Floral Hydro Mist spray which she spritzes onto her face every two to three hours, and added
that she would never start her day without putting on her favourite moisturiser, the Mamonde

To wrap up the event, Ms. Park disclosed details of her upcoming film, ‘Heart Blackened’, to
eager fans. As the visit is part of her promotional tour for the film, Ms. Park was excited for
fans to catch her in cinemas and promised a refreshing performance in her role as an attorney.
